Cuba has been in a time warp since the late 1950’s, but politics had been airing possibilities of Cuba’s new direction to being a more open society for its people. When I heard on the radio the Rolling Stones were going to have a concert there to spearhead the changing social climate, I changed my traveling dates so I could also photograph this unique happening. In front of hundreds of thousands they gave an amazing concert. For me this was a special thrill having last seen them when Brian Jones was still in the band.
